What is Otways Distillery? Otways Distillery is a micro-distillery nestled in the small town of Birregurra of the Otways near Apollo Bay, Victoria. We craft small batch gins, vodkas, whiskies, and liqueurs using local ingredients and botanicals, celebrating the unique spirit of the Otways with every bottle.

What makes your spirits different? We pride ourselves on using locally sourced, organic ingredients. Every bottle is handmade in small batches with care and creativity. Our spirits often carry heartfelt dedications – especially to our beloved dogs and the rescue community we support.

What kind of spirits do you make? We craft:

Gin – infused with local botanicals Vodka – including citrus vodkas made with Otway-grown lemons, limes, and oranges Whisky – like our single barrel Working Dog Whisky Liqueurs – including our Best Friends Tipple (a brandy cream liqueur) Are your spirits organic or gluten-free? Our ingredients are organic whenever possible. Most of our spirits are gluten-free, but please check individual labels or contact us for specific dietary information.

Dogs, Rescue & Giving Back

Why are so many of your products dog-themed? We are dog lovers to our core! Many of our spirits are dedicated to beloved dogs we've fostered, rescued, or loved dearly. We honour their memory and joy through our drinks.

Do you support animal rescue? Absolutely. We donate $5 from every bottle of select spirits to One at a Time Pet Rescue, founded by our dear friend Michelle Dryden. Michelle has spent over 25 years rescuing and rehoming neglected and abused animals.

Are your products cruelty-free? Yes. We do not test on animals, and our support for dog rescues underlines our strong commitment to animal welfare.
